David took Methegammah from the Philistines. He got all the Moabites and killed many of them, and made the rest his servants. He gained land from the King of Zobah's son, Hadadezer, after killing him; and when the Syrians came to help the King of Zobah, he defeated them and made the Syrians into servants.
When the king of Toi heard of David's defeat of Hadadezer, he sent gifts to David because they, too were at war with Hadadezer. David dedicated the gifts to God.
Whereever David went, God helped him and protected him. David became a mighty king.

The lesson I got out of this is that with God, there is no reason to fear. Even the enemies of your enemies will be your friends if you fight God's enemies with Him. And, God will bless you and keep you as you walk forward, without fear, trusting in Him.
