About the socialistic nature of our government

Cliff Kincaid wrote in an article entitled “Socialism is coming to America:

"It would be an exaggeration to say that we are getting close to anything resembling the Soviet system. But it is also a big mistake to call this a “bailout.” It is socialism. Why are so many in the media afraid of using this term? "

My guess is that if the media chose to use the word "Socialism" and got the American people finally believing that we are under Socialist rule, it wouldn't change anything. You'll be walking down the street, and on one street corner an old man will be ranting and raving on a park bench as he spoke to the guy next to him about how back in his day somebody woulda done something about all these socialist extremist running the country, while the guy nodded his head and thought to himself, "He's just a crazy old man."

And, then at the grocery store, some mother will mention crazy things her kids are asked to learn at school, then shrugs and says, "What can you do about it. Just teach them to follow the rules."

Nothing will change. Everyone will gripe, the email lists will go crazy; but, in the end, no one will do anything more than what they are already doing.

Even if God did raise up a leader, no one would recognize his authority. He'd get crucified. We've seen it before. And, what's bad is, we'll probably be the first to holler.

Ron Paul nearly got crucified politically when he voted "No" on the Patriot Act. Remember? And, I suffered attacks for telling everyone Bush was a Socialist back before 9-11. After 9-11, it was as if he were a god. Everyone worshipped him. I could do nothing but quit.

Until we become bold as a nation, we should be prepared to bow down to the gods of Socialism. "Bow down?" you say, "Never." Ah, but you do it every single day in so many little ways you don't even notice it anymore.

As media, my job was to cry the warning -- to be the "Watchman on the wall" so to speak. I did my job. But, my job was only effectual if someone listened. No one did.

Just call me a female Jeremiah. (Those who read the Bible understand). They didn't call him "the weeping prophet" for nothing.
